Description

NR LIFE CARE is offering a Mouth Dissolving Tablet formulation NRZOF MD (Ondansetron Orally Disintegrating Tablets ) which belongs to a group of medications called serotonin receptor blocker which is the prime substance responsible for the production of Prostaglandin synthesis.

NRZOF MD (Ondansetron Orally Disintegrating Tablets) belongs to the Anti-emetic category where the active ingredient is Ondansetron Hydrochloride. Ondansetron is a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist. It acts by blocking the serotonin H1receptor and as a result reduces colonic contractions, sensory perception and motility of the stomach.

NRZOF MD is used for the treatment of nausea and vomiting caused by cytotoxic chemotherapy, post-operative induced or radiation induced nausea and vomiting. NRZOF MD is dissolved on the top of the tongue. It is not required to be chewed or swallowed with water.

NRZOF MD is not used in patients with suspected or hypersensitive allergies to any of the components of the formulation and in patients with hepatic dysfunction. Its side effects has shown to be very mild and include diarrhoea, headache, fatigue, constipation e.t.c. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity towards ondansetron, granisetron or dolasetron. It is used in Pregnancy only if the doctor clearly mentions it.
